My trip theme this time is Ooku’s Location mekuri tabi!
After several times visiting Kyoto, finally I could complete this trip!
I took Hankyu train from Umeda to Arashiyama. It cost 390
yen. I went to the north cross the river about 30 minutes to reach the first
site. Maybe it’s a bit far to go on foot but Arashiyama area itself is
beautiful so you can enjoy the surrounding too. Come earlier in the morning is
recommended so you can enjoy other spot too.
1.
二尊院 (Nison-in)
This place is one of four auspicious temple
when Kyoto was the Imperial Capital. The most beautiful and touching scene in
the movie!
Surprisingly the stairs is shorter than
what we see in the movie. Hahaha. The fact that no need for Nino to give Maki
piggy back in a long time. But taking picture here is a most!!! This spot is
located near the entrance gate. If I’m not wrong the filming was also happened
on April or Mei! I’m glad I could capture the same scenery.
Entrance fee : 500 yen.
2.
清凉寺 (Seiryo-ji)
It takes 10 minutes walking to get here
from Nison-in. I don’t really know what scene filmed here but my trip source
said so. *M*
仁和寺 (Ninna-ji)
Back to Takemura street and takes train
from Arashiyama Randen streetcar station to Ommuro Ninnaji station about 20
minutes. This is a kind of tourist train and that’s why there is only one rail
car. The tariff is flat to any station : 200 yen.
The temple is not far from the station and
you can see the temple’s gate soon. Go to Imperial Palace to reach the
location.
This one is the scene where Matsushima get
out from the door show the palace to Mizuno.
Practically this door is not opened for
public.
And… another spot still in the same place.
You need to pay another 500 yen to enter
the palace.
4.
妙心寺 (Myousin-ji)
Not far from Ninnja-ji, about 10 minutes
walk you can find Myousin-ji. This place is big and has many buildings. It’s
the scene where Mizuno come home in the early morning. You need to explore the
whole area to find the right spot.
I am not even sure if this place is the right
place. ^^
No need to pay for enjoy the building here.
^^
Get out from the other exit and walk about
25 minutes to reach the subway Uzumasatenjingawa station. It costs 250 until
Higashiyama station and takes about 20 minutes. Please note that I want to save
a few yen!
Since the next stop is located near Yasaka
Temple at Gion street, you can go there by JR or bus with several transit.
5.
青蓮院門跡 (Shouren-inmonzeki)
7 minutes walk from Higashiyama station and
here you go! Another beautiful spot!! This is where they the did Mihashira bla
bla, *not sure*!
The scene is the same with the actual
place! Wandering I sit on the same place with Nino. Hahaha. You need to take
your picture here!! You can enjoy the garden sitting on the veranda. It is so
relaxing!
There’s a small table with a note and pen on
it. It’s like a message note and I found several message from Arashi’s fan. Not
forget wrote my mine too ^^
I think I had visited almost the location! I didn’t go to
Nishimotonegau temple because they don’t accept visitor. The other one is
Rakusyo. I run out my phone batteries and totally forgot about this place.
>.< About another scenes in the movie is setting.
The last visit for today is [Flavor’s].
This cake shop is the one that Matsujun visited for NHK
program Asu Kakeru Tabi. If I’m not wrong the filming was taken last autumn and
they still put this board like this.
I wanted to eat the same cake eaten by Jun, a cake made from
Katsura Uri but it sold only on summer. In the end I bought this Jagaimo
Mitarashi Dango Matcha. As I thought, cake from potato is a bit weird. Hahaha.
But if you like Matcha maybe you will like it.
I will come again on summer!!!
It’s located near fish market in the shopping street, 8
minutes walking from Kawaharamachi station.
So… that’s all for today journey! Mekuri Tabi!
